The SBN is pleased to announce the next event of the Connect with Biotech and Life Sciences Professional Series. We are excited to be joined by UBC Alum, Dr. Christopher Roach to discuss his experience in the biotechnology field.
Dr. Christopher Roach is the Vice-President, Strategy and Innovation at Auxly Cannabis Group, where he leads the organization’s strategy, science and innovation, and corporate development functions. Before joining Auxly, he was a Management Consulting at the Boston Consulting Group where he specialized in large scale transformation. During his Genome Sciences and Technology Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia, Christopher studied the biosynthetic pathway of a potential type 2 diabetes therapeutic. During his time at UBC, Christopher was heavily involved with the university, serving as (i) President of the Graduate Student Society, (ii) as a member of the university’s Board of Governors, and (iii) as Vice-Chair of the UBC Vancouver Senate.
